about jsi

Sustainable improvements to health outcomes depend on the ability of local systems and stakeholders that comprise individuals, communities, civil society, governments, and the private sector – to provide appropriate health care and services. Developing capacities is at the core of JSIPL’s work.

By recognizing that stakeholders exist within a dynamic system and that there are diverse capacities at various levels within that system, the Organization provides them targeted support.

JSIPL considers training as just one of the capacity building techniques, and therefore, conceptualises a 360 degree approach to capacity building consisting of multiple, mutually reinforcing techniques.

Nature of Interventions

1

Driving innovative and sustainable solutions to the most pressing health care challenges by providing training and technical assistance, strategic planning, needs assessment, research, and program evaluation.

2

Strengthening capacity of systems and stakeholders along the health chain with robust and replicable models.

3

Taking a “whole-organization or project” approach to capacity development to achieve desired results in a structured manner within a specific time frame.

4

Viewing capacity development as a conscious and tailored process that strengthens specific technical and organizational capacities by enhancing the knowledge and skills of its workforce and supporting its processes, systems, and programs.
