about jsi

Improving urban immunization service delivery with customized solutions to ensure last-mile access to services and ensure sustainability.

JSIPL is working across numerous urban settings in India to address the challenge of low immunization coverage. The Organization engages with urbanaudiences to understand their priorities, preferences, concerns, and attitudes by setting urban plans, policies, and targets while allocating appropriate resources for health.

The Approach

1

Understanding the demand for and barriers to access and use of health services.

2

Creating a pressing need for immunization strategies and guidelines specifically developed for the urban population.

3

Identifying gaps in service delivery and demand generation at state and city levels.

4

Finalizing areas of collaboration with various stakeholders to improve urban health.

Recording Impact

1

Mapping key immunization stakeholders’ perceptions and experiences to identify issues and solutions.

2

Contributing to the development of city-specific roadmaps that outline health status, especially regarding immunization.

3

Providing credible evidence and lessons learned on urban immunization for improving policies and global dialogue.

4

Building capacities of national champions and institutions to make better-informed decisions to reduce inequities.

5

Empowering those in low-resourced settings with tools, services, and knowledge on immunization.

6

Strengthening demand generation mechanisms and dovetailing with last-mile delivery systems.
