Immunization for All

#HumanlyPossible

Immunization campaigns have been pivotal in eradicating smallpox, making significant strides against polio, and ensuring the well-being of millions of children. As we mark the World Immunization Week this year, commemorating 50 years of the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), JSIPL is proud to celebrate the collective efforts that have saved numerous lives by preventing vaccine-preventable diseases. This occasion urges countries worldwide to bolster their investments in Immunization programs, ensuring that future generations are protected.

This World Immunization Week 2024, JSIPL proudly acknowledges its decade-long commitment to bolster immunization efforts through multiple public health endeavors. From leveraging behavioral science to harnessing digital health technologies, from optimizing health logistics to advancing maternal and child health initiatives, our evidence-based and equity-focused approach has been instrumental. Additionally, our efforts in health information, monitoring, and evaluation have further strengthened immunization outcomes.

With a rapidly changing public health landscape, the theme for the Immunization Week “Immunization for all” is perfectly suited, more than ever before.

Let us join hands together!

Immunization Technical Support Unit (ITSU), anchored by JSIPL, serves as a strategic arm of the Immunization Division of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), diligently lending its expertise to facilitate and bolster immunization services for eligible populations.

The purpose of ITSU resonates with the theme of World Immunization Week: ‘Immunization for all’ with its focus on reaching out to the most vulnerable, vaccine-hesitant, and hard-to-reach communities with life-saving vaccines."

At JSIPL, the MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity Project, supported by USAID developed hyper-localized solutions to reach the underserved and priority populations with COVID-19 vaccination.

Leveraging the learnings of COVID-19 vaccination, the project is currently strengthening the uptake of Routine Immunization for the most vulnerable and marginalized populations living in urban cities. Prioritizing strategies and co- designing solutions to meet the local communities' needs and cultural contexts is pivotal.

This World Immunization Week, the project reaffirms its commitment to ensure last-mile reach and facilitate ‘Immunization for All’.

Together, let's build a healthier future for all

"India is steadily marching towards the "TB Elimination" goal by 2025 with a carefully crafted strategy to implement Adult BCG vaccination in implementation research. This is the safe vaccine already being given to infants and now introduced among identified adults who are at high risk of acquiring TB infection. We wholeheartedly support this innovative preventive effort aimed at accelerating the pace to achieve TB Free India."

This World Immunization Week, USAID supported - TIFA resonates with the theme: Immunization for All, as we prepare to reach the vulnerable and marginalized people.

Let’s strive towards a healthier future for all!
