JSIPL embarked on a journey to amplify COVID-19 vaccination efforts across 18 Indian States and Union Territories in collaboration with the Government of India and State Governments. Serving as the vanguard, JSIPL orchestrated and coordinated this critical campaign, focusing on increasing COVID-19 vaccine demand, distribution, and participation, especially among vulnerable communities. The pursuit of amplifying COVID-19 vaccine uptake found JSI standing steadfastly beside the Government of Maharashtra. Through strategic planning, prioritization, and district-level orchestration of vaccination initiatives, JSI aided in fortifying the state's healthcare system. Frontline Health Workers and other field-level stakeholders were empowered through capacity-building initiatives, while a symphony of awareness campaigns, private sector engagements, and vigilant monitoring ensured the program's resounding success
The project activities were implemented in 18 districts through 6 sub-awardees: MGVS, YRG Care, HelpAge India, SMRC, TCIF, The Leprosy Mission Trust India
